Small Business Incubators
For newcomers to Canada, opening a Small Business can be a really challenging time. There’s the overwhelming fear and uncertainty that surrounds coming to a new country and not knowing the “lay of the land” ie. how things work, where to go, how to begin that process.
One of the smartest things you can do as a new entrepreneur in Canada is put your business directly into an incubator centre. Some of the local colleges and universities have these. As well, there are other properties that offer low-cost incubator space for new businesses and these are usually called Innovation Centres. Some will focus on technology, yes, technology ideas are well supported both for small business incubator space and for funding too. However, other businesses can get additional support if they have a strong Business Plan.
