Canadian Mining Industry – List of Resources
One of the best places to go to begin to research opportunities in the Mnining Industry in BC and Canada is to go onto the Mining Association of Canada’s website:
The MAC provides a general introduction about the mining industry in Canada and discussion of the current technology and application in mining industry. I found this website isgreat resource for both layman and experienced professionals. As 80% of all jobs are found through networking channels, if you are a skilled trades worker, it is imperative that you connect to existing industry networks and introduce yourself to potential employers. For mining projects that are wanting to set-up business in Canada, another great resource is the Canadian Business Network (just google it!).
The best part of the MAC website is that it provides links to all partners in Mining Canada. As with any Sector Council, partners include all stakeholders (government agencies, education programs/institutions, workers, employers etc) as well as other major players both in Canada and international.
